Happy holidays everyone! I’ve been trying to keep an eye out for 2013 challenges. I haven’t decided if I’m going to sign up for any – although now is the time to decide, and I have lots of time this week to think about it!
When I searched for 2013 Book Challenges I found tons of them. But I wanted to stick to challenges from blogs I’m familiar with, so here’s what I found:
Around the World in 12 Books: http://www.giraffedays.com/?p=14723 (read a book from a different country each month)
Sarah’s Back to the Classics Challenge: http://www.sarahreadstoomuch.com/2012/12/announcing-back-to-classics-challenge.html (read books from different literary categories)
Roof Beam Reader’s TBR Challenge: http://roofbeamreader.com/2012/11/23/announcing-the-2013-tbr-pile-challenge/ (read books from last year’s TBR pile – I did this in 2012 and it was a great way to push yourself to read books you might otherwise have forgotten about)
Book’d Out’s Eclectic Reader Challenge: http://bookdout.wordpress.com/eclectic-reader-challenge-2013/2013eclecticreader/ (read a book from a different genre each month)
Historical Tapestry’s Historical Fiction Challenge: http://bippityboppitybook.blogspot.com/2012/12/2013-historical-fiction-reading.html (read a certain number of historical novels in 2013 — as few as 2 or 25 or more)
in 2012 What She Read hosted the Pay it Sideways Challenge, and I said I’d include it in my 2013 list. Laurie, will you be hosting in 2013?
And here’s a blog I don’t know but a challenge I’ve been meaning to start: Socrates’ Book Review Blog’s Finishing the Series Challenge: http://socratesbookreviews.blogspot.com/2012/11/finishing-series-reading-challenge-2013.html
What challenges will you be participating in? Please post a comment with a link.
Yes, I’m working on the graphic, but if others are interested, I’ll host again – Thanks so much for mentioning it!
I’m taking part in my own challenge The Out Your Comfort Zone Challenge and The Wishlist Challenge
Happy to have you join me for the Eclectic Reader Challenge. Good luck!
